He dug a hole, poured in about 10 gals of water into the hole, dropped the pickup for the pump in the hole, attached the other end to a piece of pipe and used the water to force the pipe into the ground. I use the term shallow because it's a 45 year old well that runs off a 3/4 hp shallow well jet pump. The well is artesian and will flow about 3 gal a min on it's own without a pump.

I have something like the Vuflo. Problem is the sand continues to circulate inside the prefilter housing and eventually clogs the screen with tiny bits of sand. I'm trying now to leave the outflow sediment valve open a tiny bit so most of the sand finds it's way out of the filter housing instead of building up and clogging the screen so often.
